My Teaching Approach

My approach to teaching and playing piano came about as a result from my struggle with pain.

After dealing with tendonitis for six months in 2014…

I was only able to finally solve the pain and play again once I discovered the Taubman Approach.

And since then, I’ve used this Approach with all of my students.

The Taubman Approach can help you:

  • Correctly move your wrists without causing pain (the most common “pain area” for pianists)

  • Play with proper balance in each part of your body, just like how you balance on each foot while walking

  • Properly rotate your forearms so it’s comfortable and pain-free

  • Engage your whole body, so the piano feels like an “extension of you”

  • Approach Piano with a “success oriented” mindset, so you can break through plateaus easily and effectively
