My approach to teaching and playing piano came about as a result from my struggle with pain.
After dealing with tendonitis for six months in 2014…
I was only able to finally solve the pain and play again once I discovered the Taubman Approach.
And since then, I’ve used this Approach with all of my students.
The Taubman Approach can help you:
Correctly move your wrists without causing pain (the most common “pain area” for pianists)
Play with proper balance in each part of your body, just like how you balance on each foot while walking
Properly rotate your forearms so it’s comfortable and pain-free
Engage your whole body, so the piano feels like an “extension of you”
Approach Piano with a “success oriented” mindset, so you can break through plateaus easily and effectively
